At The Shirt Shop, Etc., we understand that receiving your custom printed apparel in a timely manner is crucial, especially for events, promotions, and team activities. This policy outlines our shipping methods, delivery timeframes, costs, and related procedures to ensure transparency and set appropriate expectations for our valued customers.
1. Production Timeframes
Before shipping can occur, your custom order must complete the production process. Understanding our production timeline will help you plan accordingly:
1.1 Standard Production Times
- Screen Printing: 7-10 business days after design approval
- Digital Printing: 5-7 business days after design approval
- Embroidery: 8-12 business days after design approval
1.2 Design Approval Process
Production begins only after you have approved the final digital proof of your design. The approval process typically takes 1-2 business days, depending on any requested revisions. This approval time is separate from the production timeframe.
1.3 Rush Production Options
We offer rush production services for time-sensitive orders at an additional cost:
- Express Production: 3-5 business days (50% surcharge)
- Rush Production: 2-3 business days (75% surcharge)
Rush production availability depends on our current production schedule and order volume. Please contact us directly to confirm if rush production is possible for your specific order.
2. Shipping Methods and Timeframes
2.1 Standard Shipping Options
We offer the following shipping methods for completed orders:
- Standard Ground Shipping: 3-5 business days (continental US)
- Expedited Shipping: 2 business days
- Priority Shipping: 1 business day (where available)
- Local Pickup: Available at our Laurel, DE location during business hours
2.2 Shipping Carriers
We primarily use UPS, FedEx, and USPS for our shipping needs. The carrier selection depends on package size, destination, and selected shipping method. All shipments include tracking information that will be provided to you via email once your order ships.
2.3 International Shipping
We offer international shipping to select countries. International delivery typically takes 7-14 business days after production completion, depending on the destination country and customs processing. International customers are responsible for any customs fees, duties, or taxes imposed by their country's import regulations.
2.4 Delivery Timeframe Calculation
Total delivery timeframe = Production time + Shipping time
Example: A standard screen-printed order with standard ground shipping would typically take 10-15 business days from design approval to delivery (7-10 days production + 3-5 days shipping).
3. Shipping Costs
3.1 Domestic Shipping Rates
Shipping costs are calculated based on the following factors:
- Total weight of the order
- Shipping destination
- Selected shipping method
- Package dimensions
Exact shipping costs will be calculated and displayed during the checkout process before payment is finalized.
3.2 Free Shipping Threshold
Orders over $500 qualify for free standard ground shipping within the continental United States. This free shipping offer does not apply to expedited or priority shipping methods, nor to international destinations.
3.3 International Shipping Costs
International shipping rates vary significantly based on destination country, package weight, and dimensions. These costs will be calculated during checkout or provided in your custom quote. Please note that international shipping costs do not include potential customs fees, duties, or taxes.
4. Order Tracking and Notifications
4.1 Shipping Confirmations
Once your order ships, you will receive an email confirmation that includes:
- Tracking number
- Carrier information
- Estimated delivery date
- Link to track your package
4.2 Tracking Your Order
You can track your order in two ways:
- Using the tracking link provided in your shipping confirmation email
- Contacting our customer service team with your order number
4.3 Delivery Updates
Most carriers provide regular updates as your package progresses through their delivery network. Please note that once a package is in the carrier's possession, delivery timeframes are controlled by the carrier and may be affected by weather conditions, high volume periods, or other factors outside our control.
5. Shipping Address Requirements
5.1 Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information. Orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer are the customer's responsibility. Please carefully review your shipping address during checkout.
5.2 Address Changes
If you need to change your shipping address after placing an order, please contact us immediately at (302) 715-5634 or aleenabender@shirtshopetc.com. We will attempt to accommodate address changes if the order has not yet shipped. Once an order has shipped, address changes must be arranged directly with the carrier and may incur additional fees.
5.3 Business Deliveries
For deliveries to business addresses, please include:
- Company name
- Contact person
- Phone number
- Any special delivery instructions
6. Delivery Issues and Claims
6.1 Lost or Damaged Packages
In the rare event that your package is lost or damaged during transit:
- Contact us within 5 business days of the expected delivery date
- Provide your order number and tracking information
- Describe the issue in detail (for damaged items, photos may be requested)
We will work with the shipping carrier to file a claim and resolve the issue promptly, which may include reshipping your order or providing a refund as appropriate.
6.2 Delivery Delays
While we strive to meet all estimated delivery dates, occasional delays may occur due to factors beyond our control, including:
- Severe weather conditions
- Carrier service disruptions
- High volume shipping periods (holidays, etc.)
- Customs delays for international shipments
We will communicate any known delays and work to resolve them as quickly as possible.
6.3 Refused Deliveries
If a delivery is refused without prior authorization from The Shirt Shop, Etc., the customer will be responsible for any return shipping costs, and a 15% restocking fee may apply for standard products. Custom printed items that are refused cannot be restocked and therefore are not eligible for refunds.
7. Special Delivery Arrangements
7.1 Local Pickup
Customers may choose to pick up their orders at our location:

Local pickup hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
You will receive an email notification when your order is ready for pickup. Please bring a valid photo ID and your order confirmation when collecting your items.
7.2 Bulk Order Delivery
For large orders (100+ items), special delivery arrangements may be necessary. Our team will contact you to coordinate delivery details for bulk orders, which may include:
- Scheduled delivery appointments
- Multiple package shipments
- Pallet delivery for very large orders
7.3 Event Deadline Guarantee
If you have a specific event date when you need your custom apparel, please inform us during the ordering process. For orders with confirmed event dates, we offer our Event Deadline Guarantee: if we fail to deliver your order in time for your event due to delays on our part, you will receive a 20% discount on your next order.
